Its worth doing cause the chip in my runabout car that hadnt grown in at least 5 years recently streaked right across the windscreen in one go. I was driving it at the time, and its a bizarre / scary experience.

The resin repairs don't completely cover the chip, and some repairs come up better then others. I've seen some where you wouldn't see it unless you were really looking for it, but i've also seen others where you have to run your finger over it to see if its actually been filled.

It all comes down to the size and location of the chip really.

Maybe ! Depends on how old the chip is and how good the repair operator is. Had some done on my old Scorpio and they were effectively invisible. Had a repair done recently on my Cherokee and it`s still visible, although it still past it`s MOT (annual inspection , for the non-Brits !)

If you take it to a competent glass shop; they should be able to do a decent repair for about $40.

Yes so long as the chip is not to large.

Yes. It will be only very slightly visible - when looking for it. It's a great fix.
