welll actually...YES. You should prepare yourself for the PS3.So, save your money now to buy it. It depends on yourself. Will you always follow the Sony's console products? I heard that when PS3 is launched, Sony started to build PS4 (nah..!) Besides, 80% of all Sony's profit is from PS2.It means Sony always make a breakthrough for PS dynasti.Don't u remember when the PS2 killed the PS1/PSX?
It will be the same. So, buy PS wisely...or should we wait until PS 5 is launched? HaHa...

I think that most game developers already have stopped making games for the PS2. The last great game for the Playstation 2 in 2007 has to be God of War II. I think that by this summer most games for the PS2 will be ceased in production. I think that by the end of this year the PS2 will be ceased to be made also.

I'm pretty sure that every game developer that makes Playstation games are pretty eager to venture into the PS3's new technology, and make games that they would have only dreamed of a few year ago. The PS2 was the king of the sixth generation consoles and just like the Super Nintendo, it will never be forgotten.

I don't think PS2 will go away until Sony gets PS3 down to a reasonable price so regular people can afford them. But I love the PS2.

I think it will be another few years for the ps2 to go bye-bye. If people keep buying them and Sony keeps making money off of them then there will be no problem.
