Ok, I keep seeing peoples avatars, with the name top contributor on the bottom of the pic. What is that and how do you become one? and what are stars?? ? I really want to know!! please

The top contributor badge is for answering a lot of questions and getting best answers in a particular category. You can star the question if you think it is a good one.

A top contributor is one who has a 10% or better in best answers. A person like myself who has 31,773 points and 716 best answers is not considered a top contributor.

You can become a top contributor if you have the best answers at least 10% of your total answers !!!
