Is there something wrong with me? This is odd.? Please help me.?

My first semester of college I felt like a different person. I got stressed out here and there, had confidence issues, but I got straight "A". Now, this 2nd semester, I'm bitchy, have a lot of anger, fear inside, dislike myself greatly, failing, forgetting exam, dates, I have FORGOTTEN many important dates and meetings, just missed another one.

I write in a journal for the things that are bothering me, but it's no good. I use to be a happy, focused person. My professor tells me that this is all in my control, but I have tryed for two months and it is getting worse. People are starting to think that I'm not intelligent , but an idiot. At, times I feel indifferent. What's wrong? I feel out of place.

I do a lot of things without thinking. This wasn't me. Who is this person?

Perhaps the anxiety and stress of your first semester brought this on. I suggest speaking to a counselor about what is goin on and how you feel. You are not odd or stupid. You are just going through a difficult time right now but it can be fixed. Get some help. Goodluck.

You should go to the Psychologist/ Counselor on campus. They can help you Identify the stresses in your life and will know if you need to see a doctor. Sometimes the stress of starting college doesn't hit till the second semester. If you have had any major changes this semester compared to last that will add to your adjustment. I would definitely talk to someone.
And no there is nothing wrong with you. You just need to talk to someone. I know that their are a lot of college freshmen that have these problems

Hey, that kind of sounds like what happened to me in college. Stress was eating me alive, and screwing with my body and mind. Eventually I just quit going, and felt a lot better. This is rather unfortunate, though, since I really did enjoy school and was majoring in biology.

You should definitely seek professional help for this. Try talking to your school counselor, and maybe even your doctor. You may need to lighten your class load or take some time off.

You might also want to see a doctor, not psychologist etc, and describe the symptoms you're having now compared to how you felt such a short time ago. Sometimes, a chemical imbalance can cause mood swings like that. Also, not to stress you out any further, but certain types of diseases, such as diabetes, can cause symptomps such as this.

Good luck.

You could be overwhelmed, stressed, or depressed. If you feel that you can't get focused, you can't try to get it under control, & it's getting worse, than you should see a doctor & see what he/she suggest you do.
