My first semester of college I felt like a different person. I got stressed out here and there, had confidence issues, but I got straight "A". Now, this 2nd semester, I'm bitchy, have a lot of anger, fear inside, dislike myself greatly, failing, forgetting exam, dates, I have FORGOTTEN many important dates and meetings, just missed another one.

I write in a journal for the things that are bothering me, but it's no good. I use to be a happy, focused person. My professor tells me that this is all in my control, but I have tryed for two months and it is getting worse. People are starting to think that I'm not intelligent , but an idiot. At, times I feel indifferent. What's wrong? I feel out of place.

I do a lot of things without thinking. This wasn't me. Who is this person?

You may be taking on too much at once. You don't say if you work or how many credit hours you are taking in college. I work full time and go to school full time. I had an easy time when I was taking one or two classes but I took three this semester. I had an A average and now my average is a B. It took me 1/2 the semester but I have finally figured out a balance to it all. It sounds elementary, but you need to make a schedule for yourself. Stick to it. Include headings like work, school, homework, etc. It has really helped me. I also keep a calendar. I keep it in my purse and write down everything as it is given to me (exam dates, meetings, when bills are due). I look at it each morning while I am having a cup of coffee before I head off to work. It has really improved my time management. Don't listen to other people and don't let small things distract you from your tasks. Good luck!

OK. Calm down. Don't panic. We have a saying at sea "Stand on quietly and all will be revealed". You may be suffering stress, which can be difficult to recognise. Or hormones ... or love ... or merely confusion. I'd have a talk to your doctor, and see if a specialist might help. You don't have to be mad to benefit from a spot of psychology, or psychiatry which digs deeper and has a broader medical base. So indulge yourself, in search of what my psychiatrist daughter calls (with a chuckle I think she got from me) "truth and wisdom" - or at least in search of some helpful support. Good luck. And you may find meditation helps, but choose your teacher carefully.

it is you, adjusting to your new life,, during the first semester, you were under alot of stress, but pushed it to the back, and dealt with things, now its simply catching up with you,,,,,,,,, and you still have the stress of this semester, so you are overwhelmed,,,
you need to pause, get things organized, make yourself a big calendar,,,, and write each date on it, exams,, project due dates, meetings,,,,,,, then make sure and set aside a specific study time,,,,,,,, time to eat,,,,, sleep,,,, relax,,,,
your body is on overload,,,,, you need to find ways to help you deal with it,, your brain is also overloaded, and needs some extra help (reminders)
speaking with a counselor at your school will also be helpful
keep in mind, that many go threw this, you are not alone,,,,, hang in there, get things under control,,,, then make sure and get some rest/relaxation ,,,, during the summer

Go see the University Counselor and talk this out. If you don't like that speak to a Chaplin or close friend. Don't keep this to yourself.

Stress can do some weird things to people. You need to find ways to relax and calm yourself down, that's all. Maybe you should totally clear your shedule and just focus on your classes.

hello..

i think you're stressed up with everything in your life, especially studies. Like me, i also started that almost all of my grades are line of 1. Yet i'm really disappointed with myself on the second sem. I got lower grades and i thought i was stupid. Yet all i did was to smile...why? because failure is just a part of growing up. it's just a cycle of success and failure. failure that also leads you to success!

remember that failures are just lessons that make us stronger and more eager to learn!

smile! :)

There is something wrong with you because you keep asking the same question over and over again.
