I already vacuum it everyday and I still end up with a lot of dust bunnies every! Is there a product I can wash it with so it does not do this? The carpet is from Ikea (if that makes a difference?) and it is done in a bunch of bunches at a time but you can't tell. Sort of like a flokati, but made out of strings of wool. Here is a picture:: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=10112&catalogId=10101&storeId=12&productId=13721&langId=-1&chosenPartNumber=50031221

All woven things do this for a while. (think of dryer lint)

Take a stiff brush and brush it hard to get as much as possible out of it. My 2 year old wall to wall carpeting still sheds in certain areas.

It will stop sooner or later.

Your picture of the rug did not come up but the care instructions are very limiting. So it is hard to tell what it is made from. Exactly.

Ahhhhh, I hate to tell you but...the Ikea website states that you can not wash this particular rug, sorry to say, it just says to vacuum, I would not suggest washing this type of rug, wool rugs are usually like the description you spoke of where it gives off a lot of fluff, typical of wool. But you can use dry ingredients to clean it if you desire, just use cornstarch and baking soda mixed sprinkle this mixture on rug and wait a few hours then vacuum up, sorry though I can not help you with the fluff.

Tape the bad parts down with duct tape. Then, keep applying duct tape until the whole rug is duct taped.
