There is a pervasive attitude in the US that they are bigger and faster and stronger than everyone else. They seem to view world status and power as a competition. And they seem to feel that their current status will always hold true. A quick look through history will demonstrate that NO empire or superpower retained its title forever. And the business addage holds particularly true here...be nice to people on your way up the ladder, because you will meet the same people on the way back down.

No.
But it does give you the right to protect your own economic interests (which the United States does), gives you the right to say, "NO" to countries and people who want what you have and don't want to make the effort to earn it themselves, and does give you the right to swat countries that try to assassinate your President, pay suicide bombers to kill the civilians of one of your allies (Israel), constantly call for your destruction, and attack your allies to nationalize your investment in that country (Kuwait), and attack you repeatedly during a cease-fire after you defended that same country.

This is what Iraq did.

Amazing how a little history can change one's perspective when confronted with silly rhetoric like this question presents.

Educate yourselves, people.

No.

Imperialism is heaving in its last dying breaths. The domination models are dead and displaced: Egypt & Babylon to Nazi German & Communist Russia. Imperial design is on its way out. More countries (as well as US citizens) are united in their revulsion of USA superpower swagger.

No one has the right to hurt or treat smaller nations like a toy.

America may be a superpower, it is a status that can be lost if we are not careful.

Of course not but woe be unto any nation that calls itself "righteous" that turns away from evil and will not confront it. Peace doesn't come through hand wringing or diplomacy, it comes through strength. President Reagan was all over it ....

No, but if you're referring to the U.S. as the Super Power I don't think we do that. Look at this way... if there were role reversal with ANY small country, they would try it. Although it's not right. Dealing with all countries puts "all's fair in love and war" to the ultimate test. Think about it, please.
