The GOP has it's head buried in the sand. The Neocons ruined the party with Reagan's 30 year plan.....It doesn't work..LOL

Conservatives, opinion makers, are very distressed at what Bush has done to the party's popularity. Buckley, Viguerie, and others, have decried all of the catastophic mistakes and blunders Bush has accomplished, and, have stated, the party's momentum could be lost for a long time. P.S., love the Avatar!

Since your not clear as to who the republican "dead horse" is, we are forced to make some assumptions to answer your "question". Perhaps, since Bill Clinton is no longer president, your referring to republican challenges to what he did in office. here is generally what hes known for and from a liberal extremist standpoint, I can surely understand why you would consider the move to inform the public as ...flogging.

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
if, by your question, do you mean are republicans continuing to warn against a liberal in office who potentially could do the same thing...ABSOLUTELY.

perhaps your referring to hillary and by the "dead horse" comment, assesing her chances in the next election. In that narrow sense I agree with you. The flogging part would then possibly refer to , travelgate, filegate, whitewater, the cattle futures fiasco, the health care fiasco, the vince foster coverup, the rental of the lincoln bedroom, campaign finance fraud 2000, etc. and again, im a bit confused as to which one youre referring to so i thought to be considerate, id give you a wide berth.
Perhaps your referring to the current republican disagreement with the pelosi/reid regieme concerning a cowards way out of the conflict with al qaeda, otherwise known as cut and run. You would then be referring to Bob Gates, who correctly summarized that this failed policy by Ms Pelosi, emboldens the enemy who would then follow us here. Ms Pelosi is desparately fighting for some credibility at this point attemptting to defend an arbitrary pull out date to abandon the sacrifices our soldiers have made with no justification as to why that particular date at all, and blaming it on the failure of bob gates.
Not being clear on who or what your talking about helps no one understand your point and makes a clear answer to this question impossible. My suggestion is to get off mom and dads computer before you get spanked and allow the adults free reign to discuss this issue. that surely would help us all.
