I have fitted a sound card, this dis-ables the on board audio. How can I re-enable the front audio without removing the sound card?

There is no software fix for that situation.

Those ports are physically connected to your onboard sound card .... most likely with a cable(s).

This cable can be disconnected from the mainboard & reconnected onto the new card ONLY if it has the appropriate pins designed for that function.
Odds are that it does not, however, it is possible.

The documention (specs) that came with the new sound card
will tell you. If not you can research it on the manufacturer's web site.

Depending on the sound card, the driver cd may have additional software on to allow you to use them both. Take a look at the instructions or at the readme on te disc.
