my suggestion are fushigi yuugi, ayashi no ceres, fruit basket, marmalade boy, scrapped princess, one piece, akazuki cha cha, angelic layer, sailor moon, dragon quest, naruto, vandread, card captor sakura, detective conan, chobits, cooking master boy, doraemon, full metal panic!, fullmetal alchemist, air, tokyo underground, spirited away, slam dunk, prince of tennis, kickers, sakura wars, ranma1/2, hikaru no go, gundam seed, gundam seed destiny etc...
too many to write (^_^)~~~

Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Blood, Eureka Seven, Naruto. Those are my starter suggestions. Oh, Inuyasha is good. If you can find Cowboy Bebop, that is good too, as well as Trigun.

Same age as me.
And I would suggest Naruto and Bleach (for those new to anime) If you want alot of action try "Bakuretsu Tenshi" It full of it.

I hate anime. Just the word "Naruto" makes me cringe. (thats a show, by the way.)
