No hype...They lost to a better team face it...

Though they lost to South Africa disasterously in One Day series, they won against West Indies and Sri Lanka in the one day series at home. This made them more complacent and over confident and the players, Indian public and media thought that India can win the world cup, which was asking for too much as India were not even in the first 3 in the world rankings.
While Bangladesh outplayed India in the first match, the reason for the same was the complacency and over confident of Indian players which resulted in their poor performance against Bangladesh as they did not take Bangladesh too seriously.
