Don't bank them before you check out what they're worth. My guess is that they're worth a lot more than face value. Good luck!

First of all what country do you live in. Here in the States one finds 1 cent coins all the time, including the streets and parking lots. To come across a stash of 2 cent coins is very rare since they were minted 1864-1873 and all are collectible coins. If you are from NZ or Australia check with your local bank.

Hi, I honestly dont think you can cash them in at a Bank anymore. The government/banks gave a leeway period for people to bring in their 1 & 2 cent coins to be traded for money or banked into their accounts years ago.

Out of a last resort you could try ringing your bank and asking them if they would still do so and if all else fails if you dont want them maybe you could polish them up and sell them on ebay or oztion websites. That way they would be earning you money.

Good Luck

Cheers

Yes a bank will take them, but first check to see if you have any that are worth more than 1 or 2 cent's, because that is all the bank will give you.

Go to your Local Coin dealers and buy a Book Titled, The Red Book of Coins. DO NOT tell them why you need it. You can Price and evaluate them by the Pix and Condition they are in. THEN IF you want to Sell them put the Price on them you want to, but if you take them in for appraisal to the dealer and he wants them, you are going to get a low price IF you do not know what you have. You are not going to get rich off them cause there are many of these Coins around, unless you have some that is Rare and in Uncirculated Condition. The Red Book will TELL you all you need to know.
