how do i configure my netgear router to my with my existing dsl connection?

DSL modem is being used for my pc.

Connect the modem to the routers Internet (WAN) port. Connect your computer to one of the ethernet ports on the router.

Log into the router using your web browser and typing in its IP address, usually it is 192.168.0.1, but consult your install manual if that does not work.

Setup the internet connection for PPOE and insert your ISP username and password. That should get you connected to the internet.

connect the router via the eithernet connection
remember to disconect the modem

type in the browser

http://192.168.1.1

type in username "admin" and pass "admin" (without the quotes)

all you need is the isp username and the password that you use to sign on line with

its all in the setup page (1st page you see)

remember to save settings at teh bottom
