Who was the single most important human being in all of History, and why?

Ah - but Jesus be considered human? He was the son of God and therefore holy!!!!
Anywho... Christopher Columbus accidently discovered America in 1492 thus incorrectly labeling the Native Americans Indians for the rest of eternity. Had he not done so the series of events that resulted in America becoming a major power could have been changed and the world would be different. There would have been no Vietnam War (or at least no American involvement) who knows who the world power could have been - my bet in China cause they have the man power for it.

An interesting question but there is no specific human being being more important than any other then or now. We are all equally important.

Adopting a Jewish-Moslem-Christian centric stance I would suggest Adam & Eve otherwise there would be no human history. Adopting a Pagan view point, the first person to figure out how to create fire.
