Personally I fear for my life that more countries are nuclear capable and that this world would be better off with less nuclear. But why should USA and others are allowed to own nuclear weapons even by hundreds-fold while Iran is not ? Of course its easy to pass judgement of self righteousness while one is standing on one side of the fence. Inherently no country can claim to monopolise on the question of right and wrong and that God has not bestowed Bush or USA the mandate to be the judge of last resort.

Nuclear weapons are the worst invention ever created, even you disagree with having them. Why should we be able to have them and no one else? Thats like saying why you should have a house and a poor person have nothing. That isn't a good argument to begin with. First off we have nuclear weapons because we were stupid enough to get them first and then once we had them others felt threatened and created their own and now we can't let go of ours because we feel threatened by the others. And now its like two people who don't trust each other pointing a gun at each other waiting for the other to drop his first and asking the third man not to get a gun because they can't trust him either but at least this way the first two men can defend themselves against the third if he did something dangerous. Hope that makes sense...

Iran can't get nukes because it would be illegal.They have signed the nuclear nonproliferation treaty ,so they have the right to a nuclear program as long as it is used in peaceful purposes...The problem is that UN is giving sanctions to Iran for this,although they are not doing nothing illegal...
US,Russia ,France and other countries who have nukes should disarm,according to the NNPT...But it seems the law is made only for smaller countries...
I don't believe that if Iran would get nukes ,would be a danger for anyone,but itself...See what happens now when they are respecting the NNPT...they get sanctions...We could only imagine what would happen if they wouldn't respect it and build nukes...

By it's own actions it has shown that it is a rogue state.
It is the first country in the world that might just use a nuclear weapon even if it meant they would face massive retaliation!
They are seeking to make materiel for use in an atomic weapon. They already supply weapons and explosives to terrorist groups. They already make uranium products that could be used for dirty bombs.
Just the slender possibility that Iran could go nuclear should worry every thinking person in the world.

The US and other countries have nuclear weapons because they are left over from the Cold War when the philosophy was to prevent nuclear war by assuring MAD ( mutually-assured-destruction) should any one country attack another with such weapons.
The US and other nuclear weapon owning countries do not have leaders (both political and religious) who preach the destruction of another country on the grounds of religion or ethnic circumstance as the Iranian religious leaders and their puppet "president" in Iran. Such people are too stupid and ignorant to allow to be in control of nuclear weapons.
No American believes that the US is trying to dictate what is right or wrong - we have, however, entrusted in our government the task of protecting our country from those who seek to attack it. It is too bad that you do not see that the US is being attacked by Islamic terrorists and their supporters in Islam from around the world and seeks to prevent such actions. One aspect of that is preventing a country that supports and enables Islamic extremists from developing a nuclear weapon. Eventually they would try to use it on the US.

All it would take is one push of a button, to end the world, as we know it. The government, in Iran, is so radical and unpredictable, right now, no one feels they should have the capabilities of producing weapons of mass destruction.

Yea lot of people see that too. But Iran openly call for destruction of Israel.
Would you be comfortable if your neighbor tell you that he wants to kill you and you see him walking to a gun store?
Would you tell police officer its not fair he gets to have machine gun and you don't?

Because they would not hesitate to use it, they wouls threaten israel for a start and de-stabalise the whole area!
