I just want to let you know that not all straight guys are anti-gay. I'm straight, Christian, and a registered Republican, and I fully support the gays rights to marry and adopt. Just so I don't get reported for not asking a question, how many of you know other straight guys that aren't hate guys?

Education - am I supposed to be swayed by your pretentious desire to alienate any form of life that is foolish enough to strike up a conversation with you? You can't buy friends with $50 words, and don't forget it.

I am not interested in changing the moral majority of anything. And I've heard a lot of "periods" in my 64 years, and not once have I taken heed of them. I am for a conservative influence in America; I just don't happen to believe homosexuality is an issue of "conservative v. liberal".

Young man, are you aware of a group called "Log Cabin Republicans"? Or are you so unbelievably childish that you think every issue in America is mutually exclusive to each other?

I am an individual that doesn't define myself with party lines. Perhaps you should look up from the way you would like your world to be and see how it actually is? Anyway, I'm done with this little conversation you seem to be intent upon continuing. Carry on with your life.

My parents; my brother; several friends; the lovely 87-year-old very strait-laced, blue-rinse conservative lady who is a regular at the cafe where I work part-time, and who has been so worried about me not finding a "nice girl to settle down with".
I find that the hate is often born out of ignorance ... from simply not knowing any gay people personally.
Thank you for caring.
(a side-track, but I really despise the "love the sinner, hate the sin" hypocrites).

I'm over 50, and living in New England, where being Gay is as easily accepted as being a racial minority, most of the people I know are supportive. (The New England states are all moving toward some recognition of gay couples. Now that New Hampshire has a Democratic legislature, they will vote on civil unions this coming Wednesday.)
There are many topics which direct my vote, and I have voted for a few Republicans in the past. But when it comes to national politics now, it is impossible to see the party of George Romney, Nelson Rockefeller, and Barry Goldwater at all reflected in the self-righteous, theocratic stances taken by the Republican political leadership.
Unless and until they broaden their base to at least promote more libertarian views, I will not be able to cast a vote for any Republican again without seeing myself as voting against my own interests. And your support for this party does make it seem that you are willing to give lip-service to supporting gay rights without voting in such a way as to actually bring them about.

As an older person (much older), I thank you for your views. I have many straight friends, male & female, who are like you and they are wonderful.
I personility don't care what a person's voting statis is. Sure! I would like to see gay's have the same rights as others and I would also like to see our educational system, health care, and wages (along with other items) brought up to date for everyone. Yes! I said everyone.
I am a Libral now but have been a Rep. & a Dem. -lost faith in both of those parties.
Please be advised that a lot of the folks on this site are youngsters and don't get upset about their ans.

I have a lot of straight friends, both men and women. Gays know that there are straights who support them, we dont hate straight people, we just want to educate those who think we are wrong. Thank you for being supportive and open minded.

I think its pretty damn cool that you're straight and support gay guys. I'm gay and my straight friends have been like brothers to me. They've been a huge asset in encouraging me to be myself when i struggled with being gay after some recent stuff and have always been great sources help when it comes to dealing with relationship. my own brother back home is also a huge supporter......so yeah like I said, I think its pretty cool and your friends are very lucky.

Right. I am a straight Catholic, and I know that homosexuality is perfectly normal and acceptable. There is nothing wrong with it. So THERE, Bible-thumpers!

well thats nice of you, its hardly suprising since in a lot of coutnries homosexuality is a lot more accepted than in the us.
1 question to you though, if you support gay rights, gay marriage etc WHY THE BLOODYHELL VOTE REPUBLICAN.
theyre the soldiers in the crusade against homosexuality, they spread propaganda, they veto a gay mariage bill, and are usually backwords ignorant religous zaelots.
