i waited so much for this ultra sound, and to my disappointment my baby was sitting, so the sex could not be seen. i wanted to know the sex so i can know colours of baby things to buy.

i reckon your pretty lucky, ive got 4 kids and found out the sex each time, so i got no suprise,
with my 4th i was hoping it was in a bad position , but once they said they knew i had to know, just b patient and u will get a wonderful suprise, just buy a few basic clothes and stuff u need then once u deliver u can go shopping, good luck

I know how you feel i soooo desperatly wanted to know what i was having with my 2nd and they couldnt tell me but i did have a later scan to be told i was having another girl but infact they got it wrong and i had a boy, so even though you can find out the sex it there is a possibility of it being wrong anyway, the only way to know for sure is to wait till you have bub.

You can get a 3D ultrasound for about $100.
Chances are you will have additional ultrasounds down the road to check for different things. It won't be a comprehensive ultrasound, but you can always ask the technician to check the sex. Most would be happy to do this.

The baby won't care if he's wearing pink, or if she's wearing blue. The baby will be happy when its warm, and fed, and loved. You can buy neutral colors, and be surprised when he or she is born. Odds are, since kids grow so fast, that he will only wear the outfit a few times before it doesn't fit, any way.

I am so sorry.. that happened to me too. But I found out on the next visit.. can they reschedule the u/s or can you get a 4d done. They cost about 150.00.. but are clear and easier to see the baby. But you will have to wait about 4 more weeks to get it done. I hope that baby will cooperate on the next visit. Congrats!

you sound so disappointed but isnt it better that all they told you was we cant tell the sex? what if they would have told you your baby had a serious deformity? be thankful that whatever the sex is, its healthy.

It can't always be seen due to the way the baby's lying.
