The reason why I chose to answer your question, is cause I used to feel that way too. My good nature always caused me to be taken advantage of. I hated that. I wondered if it was even worth being kind.
It's amazing to be a person who puts others before herself. You definitely don't see many who'd do the same, agree?
I guess at times, when it has gone too far, you should put your foot down & say ''No''
No one has the right to treat you this way. Instead they should be showing grattitude! Sadly, it's hardly the case. They take advantage you, knowing they can get away with it. Don't stop being you! For you have qualities in you that others might not have. Move away from people who take advantage of you frequently.
The feeling of being used is intolerable!
Take care dear :)
Stay strong...

This is not exactly true. As you get older in life you learn to discriminate who you should assist. Having said that, sacrificing yourself just for the sake of it (nature, habit, co-dependency) can turn out to be in no way for any higher good and is a different matter entirely. Keep being kind to others - the world needs it - but look after yourself. Watch and learn.

There is no reason why you should be putting others before you. . let someone else put you before them for a change. It is best if you are in control sometimes in situations. .you do not want people walking over you all the time. . I have friends that put others first, and it is awful to see others take advantage of the situation. . Would be best if you said no. .just have to get used to it at the start and then it will be fine. . all the best

you should do what makes you you. if you are a nice person then be so. but remember you must be a strong women so live by these guidelines.you screw me once & oops! it happens all the time, unintensionally.screw me twice &, whoever it is, you have just bernt a bridge that can never be built again unless ur heart tells you other wise and in that case you, being u, should try to help in a way that wont affect you in anway.but if u do help on the 3rd time & you get screwed then u have no one to blame but ur self.

I am sorry but I don't believe this. People who do good actually succeed in life. They may not be very famous or wealthy, but I am sure they are happy and self-fullfilled.
Learning to say No to others is very difficult especialy when you feel the need to please people. But actually, being good doesn't mean saying yes all the time. It also means knowing what you are capable of, and knowing what is good for you and what is not.
Hope to have helped!

I find this too.i try and be good but people always put you in the corner of the good guy and away from everyone else.if it makes you happy tho its not too bad.people tend to like strength of character and i think being good almost comes across as being a weakness sometimes.people think oh that persons nice we dont have to put much effort in with them.i think its healthy to say no tho.you can still be nice and say no.you have to be nice to yourself once in awhile.i try and find a balance.be nice to people but say no when i feel like it.that way people wont walk over you either

Good people sometimes put others before themselves and don't speak up for themselves. Also good people like you, aren't willing to step over anyone in their way to get to where they want to go, so it often takes longer to get what you want. All I can say is that I'd rather be a good person and reach my goals honestly than to claw my way to the top stepping on others just to get there.I do think it is important to learn to say no. Sometimes we have to think of ourselves and our needs and that isn't being selfish. It is just taking care of yourself. The world is full of ladder climbers who are willing to do anything to anybody to reach their goal in life. I personally would rather get there on my own good merits even if it takes longer to succeed. Good luck to you!

I think that it's okay to say NO, especially if you feel that person is trying to take advantage of you.
After awhile you'll get to recognize the ones that are trying to take advantage.
You also have to know when your help is not wanted even if they do need some help.

People who do good rarely go ahead in life, but why should we go ahead afterall? I am pleased if I help somebody else and it is enough...Saying "No" is very important!
