When a guy grows up he is taught to be strong.if he falls and hurts himself the father will come along and say come on now youre a big boy now.crying isnt for big boys.this doesnt happen with girls growing up really.i had a talk to my counsellor about this before and this is the explaination he gave me.boys are from such an early age discouraged to cry and encouraged to be tough and come across as strong.if a guy cries he loses that.its built into our heads from our early years so much so that we find it hard to cry.even if we want to we just cant get the tears to come out

Something to do with the anatomy of the eye? I cry very easily - a lot more than other women and I have wondered why. I just have to look at someone else crying and tears fall down my cheeks, it's not that I'm really upset or anything, it also happens if I get angry or stressed or if someone is too nice to me. It happens when I don't even feel strongly about something. I think something in my eye is closely linked to my emotions (lymbic system?) - more that in other people. The annoying thing is that people always react to it and think I have strong feelings about something when actually I'm fine!

It is because odf the standards that men shouldn't cry more since they are more macho. Women, are just labelled by men as emotional and with this we think that women cry more.

If ever men were brought up equally with women, meaning that they can express their emotions freely, then you will actually see that women crying at times is very normal.

Because society is dead set on teaching men that crying makes them gay, or whimps, so they're all afraid to do it. Crying for women is taught as normal because we're "hormonal". Personally I think crying for anyone, male or female, makes them human, and I think it's stupid macho bull crap when a man says he cant cry because it'll make him a whimp.

crying is a form of expression and women are expected to be emotional which makes it easier to cry in some ways, men seem to think it will make them less of themselves to cry.
crying is a human thing, not a woman thing.

"my tears don't compromise my strength, they never have."
-i heard that on a commerical.

Women have been given permission from the time they were little girls to cry......A girl cries and daddy says come and let daddy make it better.....or let me kiss the boo boo. A little boy cries and dad says, boys don't cry or man up or my least favorite, stop crying like a little girl.......

because men are a bunch of wimps who think they're all that and that they assert power and "machoness" by not crying.
what a crock of baloney that is.
i'm a guy and whether you like it or not, i'm gonna cry in front of you when i need to. period.
some cultures believe it or not think it's more acceptable for women to cry than men. especially in public

Women are naturally more emotional than men and men are more logical thinkers. That;s one thing that makes us so different and why we sometimes have communication problems.
