March 23 Sri lanka beat India by 69 runs

Out of 3 matches played in group matches India lost two hence out of WC

Due to their comprehensive win against Sri Lanka and West Indies at home Indian players became complacenmt and over confident and hence took Bangladesh lightly in theikr first match and hence failed miserably in their batting, which was the main reason why India lost to Bangladesh in the first match. When India faced Sri Lanka it was a due or die situation for them and they were under lot of pressure to win the match. The players could not sustain the pressure and hence failed to perform to their talent and potential. Both these losses caused exit of indian team from the world cup.
