i just bought a pack (first time).. but there were only 21 yellow pills and no white ones... i thought yasmin came in 21yellow & 7white pills... Is this the same Yasmin pill?

I think you can get 21-day packs and 28-day packs. It looks like you might have been prescribed the 21 day pack version. It just means that you have to remember to have a gap of seven days when you dont take a yellow tablet. The 7 white tablets in the alternative packs are just placebos (empty sugar coated pills) and act as a reminder/aid for you to not mess up your cycle. Use a diary, it will amek things easier for you. Just DO remember to take a 7 day gap - you will have a breakthrough bleeding during these 7 days. If in doubt talk to a pharmacist or your doctor.
It is IMPORTANT THAT YOU DON'T GET PREGNANT on Yasmin because of the anti-androgen effect of one the the hormones (the progestin). This has been shown to feminize male foetuses in rats. Take care.

They may have given you a package with 21 pills (but not too many companies are doing this anymore because they don't always sell as well as the 28 pack so then they stop with the 21 pill pack) but pls get in touch with your pharmacy to find out what happened.

I'm taking yasmin and you're supposed to get 7 white pills. You better check with the doctor or pharmacy!
