Anyone can go to the er, even for a cold, they can't deny you.
Having health coverage is important too, if you don't have any you will be mailed a bill.

If you are thinking you want to go though, you might want to consider just making a doctors appointment. You may end up being in the er for hours waiting. The nurses and doctors usually are tending to those in a life threatening condition, so you may be waiting for a long time.

I recently took my father to the E.R. and even with a possibility that it was a heart attack, they still didn't see him for more than 2 hours. outrageous.
