will even more people vote for Sanjaya knowing Simon Cowell could quit? I think that would be VERY interesting to see how Simon fares. For all the nasty things he's said about some people...That would be awesome!

I started off hating Sanjaya for all the obvious reasons but as the weeks have rolled along I find myself softening up,as the saying goes 'God loves a tryer' I think he's doing his best with what he's got.Simon's cruel comments are only going to get more sympathy votes.

Simon isn`t going anywhere. He is the Producer and is making a ton of money from Idol. Why Sanjaya? Simon didn`t like Taylor either.

Simon owns "American Idol." No one can get rid of him. As for Sanjaya, he is cute, but his singing is bubblegum style, for children and preteens, not Idol style. I'm surprised he's lasted this long. His hair was a great laugh. But he has no hope of lasting beyond the women this year. They are drop-dead killer fantastic. Melinda has had my vote for winner from the first time I heard her sing.

i thought that Simon had signed a contract this year to stay till 2010 or something, so he cant just leave?
