Can putting to much album artwork on an ipod freeze it and make it go crazy?

It will use system resources, including the battery, to both access and display the images, which will hasten the point where your iPod's firmware will lock up and need a reboot. Other than that, as long as you're not loading it up with gigantic images it shouldn't cause any significant problems. Well, other than the negligable use of capacity to store the photos.

As an owner of an 80GB ipod, I dont put on any artwork from albums, cause with everything, it takes up storage on the device. if you have say 3,000 songs, you will be giving up room on the ipod just for album artwork! I'd rather put an extra 100 songs on it rather then albumart! I really don't care about what album the song came off of as I do the title and the artist of the song!

Shouldn't. The album artwork are rather small and probably doesn't take up that many spaces so it's not like it's going to be fragmented into a million pieces on the iPod hard drive.

Just about all of my songs(about 750 right now) have the album artwork, and I never have any problems with mine. I also have over 3GB of movies and videos on it.
