I don't know if there's any today but back in the 60s or 70s there was a very successful black country singer named Charlie Pride. I'm not sure if he's still alive but i think he's in the country music hall of fame.

Well, start with Charlie Pride and go from there. There have been half a dozen depending on what you mean by successful. Of course, I think hip-hop is an admission of failure right there.

Yes, Charlie Pride is about it. This is true: The late Hank Williams had an affair with one of his maids. A young black girl. Shortly after she left his employment, she had a baby boy. His name was Charlie Pride! :-) So I guess he just had it in his blood. This would also make him Hank Williams JR's half-brother. Both sides denied any of this ever occured but other maids, workers & relatives claim it to be true.

Here in Australia, in the late 60's/early 70's, an Aboriginal boxer named Lionel Rose recorded a country album, and had a hit with "I Thank You".

darius rucker he left hootie and the blowfish to develop right into a solo usa artist. and via the way maximum of todays usa isn't usa. i nevertheless pay attention to it yet heavily attempt charlie daniels, hank williams, hank W jr, waylonjennings, willie nelson, and johnny money. they're exceptionally stable usa. i nevertheless like todays usa yet alot of that's POP usa or in simple terms hassle-free ol pop music.
