Jean Jacques Rousseu, Wrote:
I love to busy myself about trifles, to begin a hundred things and not finish one of them....in short fritter the whole day away inconsequentially...and to follow nothing but the whim of the moment.

Does this sound like you?

Every now and then I take time out for a J.J. Rousseau Day and it feels so good!
I am having one today. No pressure. Crossword half completed. Dishes in the sink unwashed.... Might start painting my room if the inclination takes me...
Other days are so pressured and rushed with people impinging on my sold at every other moment. J.J.R days have such a lovely unstructured quality , they are to be treasured even as the time is squandered!

I don't but my husband does he`s only ever finished one room in our house and that took him over six years
He starts a job more often or not he just leaves it
My kitchen floor is half tiled its been like that for seven years We have a shed half built that's been like that for about ten years
The thing which is annoying he can do a brilliant job if he would just finish it

I think that would be an exaggeration of my life. I have started a lot of things that I have not finished, but not in the same day. Jean seems to be proud of the things he has not completed, but I think of my unfinished efforts as defeats, if I have abandoned those efforts.

Not quite , I do get around to finishing what I started, but it takes me a few weeks, and a lot of times I wish that I had some help.

I'm always starting things that I never end up finishing, but there are many things that I do see through to completion so I'll settle for that.
It is better to have moved and lost than never to have moved at all.

Yep I do this all the time. I've started painting my kitchen and have yet to finish it. I've got all the things I need I just can't motivate myself to do it. I've started many things around the house I just haven't finished them. I should really.

That's me in a nutshell. Reminds me of the original Willy Wonka movie, at the end in Willy Wonka's office. Everything is half-complete. I've read many large books up until the last couple chapters & never picked them up again.
