Nope. I would have packed his stuff (i.e. thrown it into trash bags with a few small holes in each bag), set it outside, and then changed the locks. Oh, and set the timer for the sprinklers to come on just about an hour before I figure he'd be coming home. (That way his stuff would be nice and wet when he got there.) :-)
