Mosquito hawks, AKA: bull-bats DO eat mosquitos. They have mouths that gape open very wide while they are flying to catch mosquitos or other insects. They are indigenous to my area and I have seen them up-close and in person and had the opportunity to research them a little. It's a little intimidating to find one injured and have it "hiss" at you with it's mouth open wide exposing the white layer inside.
