I am trying to affix paper to a glass jar and want it to look clean-without lumps or glue bleeding through the paper. I tried rubber cement-doesn't work. I also could glue the paper to Avery labels and stick them to the jar, but I would rather apply the paper directly.

You could try "3M77" which is a spray adhesive, or for an non-toxic alternative "Weldbond"

I use a powder adhesive.

You use a spray bottle to slightly spray the glass surface (or a paint brush slightly damp), wipe it so the entire surface you are adhering to is wet and then sprinkle the powder on the paper.

Make sure you have it centered and stick it on! It dries very quickly and works like a charm...no bumps, lumps, etc.

I get my powder at JoAnne's...there are different brands but most work the same!

Have fun crafting!

I simply use permanent double stick tape- works a treat. Get yourself the little Scotch tape roller at Staples or other office supply, and you're good to go.

Do not use anything like Elmer's. This site will tell you what to use.
