If you didn't know, Later in the summer there is going to be a global concert not dissimiliar to Live Aid called Live Earth, to bring Global attention to Global Warming. Like Live Aid most musical acts are Rock. At Live Aid in 1985 The British rock group Queen perfromed what some say is the best Live musical performance of all time, and throuought their career Queen had been known as one of the best live acts there ever was. But with the death of Freddie Mercury and the retiremnt of John Deacon Queen has been silent throught the years. But in the early 2000's Queen has become active and the remaining active members Brian May and Roger Taylor have teamed up with fromer Free/Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers and formed the act Queen+Paul Rodgers. Together they have gone on a world tour and are currently in the studio making an album, which would be Queens first new album since Made IN Havean(1995) Which went 4x Platinum in the U.K. All in all do you think Queen should play Live Earth?

No.
Without Freddie Mercury, it has never been Queen. He was Queen. Brian May and Roger Taylor are good and all, but they aren't really what made Queen what it always was.

They are an abomnination, not Queen.

The only front man that could have possibly pulled off Queen re-forming would be George Michael (if you saw the Freddy Mercury Tribute show in the early 90s you would probably agree.)

With Paul Rodgers singing they didn't sell nearly as many tickets as they assumed. Ticket prices were high when they played locally and it wasn't even sold out. But it is a 24 hours concert and someone needs to fill the spot.
