Probably not. Humpty was a hard-boiled con and had been planning to go over the wall for years. He thought he would be over-easy but his plan had a few cracks in it. The prison warden had to scramble to explain what happened or he would have had egg on his face too.

The case was stone walled. The detectives decided he was pushed over easy. It did not take much to find a fall guy. He died of shell shock. The deviled eggs was in the details. He was betrayed by an eggs Benedict Arnold. Remember the words of Omelette, Prince of Denmark: Always look for the sunnyside of life. What will be will be or not to be. The yolk is on us. At least, in the beginning, Humpty Dumpty got laid.

I think Humpty was a resident of the former east Germany...
He sat on the wall to look over to the west to freedom....
And then they tore down that wall and Humpty, oblivious to his surroundings fell with the rest of the rubble.....

Yes he was pushed.....by his evil twin egg brother.
He needed to test the waters or the ground below to see if he would survive the fall. Now he knows he can't risk it. Instead he is rotting away in his cell and is close to creating a riot in the prison because they want to cook his goose.....I mean his egg.
The question now remains.....will he be cooked, scrambled or fried!
