I cant understand why people in Australia think they are so great because they spell ageing. and defenCe.

I can't spell squat, but I always use spell check and do my best. Here are others that drive me crazy:

then not than or than not then
our not are
there are more but can't think of them right now.
No offense to Aussies, most are American, I think.
