I live in England and whatever people say about this question its largely true,they are a large part of our population and its a culture thing i guess.

I didn't know they did have. I have a feeling its not only Indian people that have greasy smelly hair. That is what you call stereotyping someone.

Umm...no as a matter of fact Indian people are VERY clean the british were very surprized about how clean the Indian people were and how many baths they took a day when they went to India to from a colony there.

im indian,,,this is totally true...but this is a practice in a lot of places outside of india too
we are taught to oil our hair to keep it healthy and not split..(it actually works)
but some are lazy/ or some are due to situations..
thy don t wash it, they keep it in for a whole week and shower on sat/sun...i am totally against this practise, its gross and unhealthy! but really its their choice, its there head, its their life. I am very sorry if this is hard for u, as a hairdresser...but as a proffesional u should learn to ignore and also accept this !
cheers! p.s. u r not racist at all, ur not discriminating plus, not ALL indians have greasy and smelly hair ..in the olden days, indians had the most thickest, shiniest and long hair..now to introduction to pollution/work/laziness/western culture this has happened.

i dont think all of them do i work at a day care with some indian kids and they dont have greesy hair but those you have met mabey is just part of there ethnectisity (spelled right?) p.s i dont think this is a racist Question

Why not offer to Shampoo, prior to cutting? Your a hair dresser right? And maybe... don't inhale so deeply....
