Wearing makeup is a very personal experience. I have found that women choose to wear things that help them feel better about themsleves. At times you may want to wear more or less to make a statement or refelct a mood or a style. The best advice is to remember when applying makeup you want to start and end with a clean moist canvas. You want others to say things like" you look good today" not things like " wow you have alot of eyeliner on" That is a distraction not an attraction. Have fun with makeup but don't let it become your world, like you can't be seen without it or you can't go anywhere with out your bag filled with samplings from every type of product. The essential collection should include something like: a cover up/concealer of some sort for the blemishes, moiturizing lip balm or gloss and mascara. You know you have plenty of time for makeup why rush into being a consumer of so many unnecessary items. Keep it simple. Look back at some photos of yourself as a baby. How would you react to that same picture of yourself with a lot of eyeliner?Would it really make you a different person?happier? prettier?healthier? IN fact you might find that quite odd, which is why your parents friend, grandparents and those who have known you for so long keep asking you about this. They see the beautiful girl they knew with out eyeliner.Take a good look in the mirror and see you and accent your eyes with colors that exsist in your eyecolor itself. Make up should Accent not take over you.Try a few different look with friends, take pictures of each of those trials and choose together with people who know and love you, they will be honest and occasionally why not step it up a notch.

I have no idea who Billie Joe Armstrong is, but I will answer anyway. The whole point to makeup is to appear as natural as possible. At thirteen, you do not want to wear a lot of eyeliner as it can make you appear "harsh". Keep it light and simple.

well .......maybe if its black liner its very bold brown is a little softer if your parents mind maybe you should cut back a bit try lining the top thicker on the outer and thinner on the inner part of the eye and a little mascara and your set you don't see most celebrities and tv people wearing tons of eye liner unless your going to a club or something ... don't rush theres plenty of time for eyeliner soon you won't wear any eye make up so you can look younger that's what the older ladies do I'm not there yet

There is a point where too much is only a distraction not
attraction. At 13 you have a natural beauty even if you don't think so. An older relative recently gave me a teenage photo
of myself. I had no idea I was that pretty. We don't really take a good look at that age we just want to be different. Don't overdo it, just a bit of color is good.

Nope I wore tons of eyeliner when I was thirteen. I used to like Green Day too...I don't anymore though.
Big deal it's just eyeliner. I used to wear eyeshadow and foundation too when I was 13. And so did all my friends. You're a teenager now it's your time to rebel and experiment with any styles you want!
People are telling you to look natural, but that's not what's in style right now. That's boring. Emo/scene make up is in, it's edgy and sexy and it's definitely not dull.

Yes, I think you are too young to be wearing that much eyeliner. Besides, females older than you still wouldn't wear that much. If you're going to wear any, just wear a small, considerable amount. Don't worry, you'll look fine :)

Sweetie, that isn't bad. Eyeliner is like a new found addiction to me. I find boys concentrate more on another feature instead of my cheeks and nose that I like to detain from. And my eyes I personally think are gorgeous and am glad people can see them better now.

Natural make up is always the ideal thing for a young lady. But we all girls always exaggerate with make up when we're young :)
You can do it if you want, but not that all the time. you're skin is still young and excessive make up can damage it and have problems later. But if you insist, use a good clean cream later to take it off, my grandma did it since she started using make-up and now at 90 has a skin better than mine.

I'm fourteen and i've been wearing lots of eyeliner for about two years. It's really up to you, it's your style and deffinitely your choice not anyone else's.
Personally I think a lot of eyeliner looks nice:P

Girl, I'm 12 so I totally hear you out. I found that a lot more guys continue to stare at me if I use enough to outline my eyes, not enough to share at school. I found myself prettier too. But living without it is almost as impossible as living with out mousse for my hair, so I can see why not using any would be torture. lol Not so much girl, okay?
