Well, they have been losing alot of games since they last appeared in the Super Bowl, but with their Defense in the top 3 and their pass defense #1, all they really need to upgrade is the Offense. Robert Gallery plays best at RT. Simms needs to move back to LT. The Receivers are good, as long as they have time for someone to throw them the ball. Which means a QB is whats missing in Oakland. OL is good, just needs some better coaching than they had last year when they were flipped all around. the Receiving Corp is Talented. The Running Game has improved this Offseason with Rhodes and Falcons FB-Griffith. The Raiders only needs in my opinion is a QB, wheather its a veteran or a rookie. and a Gamebreaking TE. Sure they might have not won alot of games in the last 4yrs, but they are climing the mountain. And with the Chiefs and Broncos and Chargers all starting a Qb with 2yrs of experience or less, it Oaklands chance to shine again. The Raiders will win more games this year, and by next year, they will make the playoffs, I can see the pieces coming together.

I am a life long raiders fan. As much as it pains me. Its because of Al Davis. He's still stuck n the vertical passing game that once ruled the game. He is so consumed with speed that he wastes the rest of the team drafting stupidly. Our defense is pretty solid. We need a little help on the d-line. However our line backers and secondary are pretty young and talented. However what he needs 2 do is decide on a coach and then leave him the hell alone. The worst mistake that he made was sticking his nose in the business of jon gruden. He should of left him alone. At least gruden provided stability. I know that they are going 2 draft jamarcus russell with the 1st overall pick. They then need 2 trade randy moss 2 the packers for a 2nd rd pick and use that 4 offensive line help. The o-line, tight end position, and fullback r our biggest weaknesses right now.

Ill tell u why... the raiders have always held that "Bad Azz" of the league tag....
So they go out and spend money on ******* who honestly cant play ball....then wen they actually find a playmaker.... he figures out that he is a dimond in a pile of "shhhhh" and wants 2 change teams...in the NFL alot of it is about money...but most of it is about winning...
Oakland keeps losing there gemz...like woodsen for instance...and they are a team of misfits...
The main problem though is a lack of character....and a lack of leadership...
They keep bringing in less than par quarterbacks who cant control the team with leadership because he cant perfrom on the field himself....spending money on a big time quarterback would make this team turn all the way around...look @ the saints...same scenario...Drew Brees turned a team of misfits into a powerhouse...if i were the GM in Oakland id make a move @ Culpepper and trade away mi second rounder 2 the Dolphins...Randy and Daunte.... pffff... then trade down from the number one spot just enuff 2 bring in the best linebacker...in Patrick Willis and with the trade get a second rounder and bring in Jon Beason....that is the perfect move...ull have three gr8 linbackers... a gr8 d-line u already have....the best wideout-quarterback tandum in the League...a decent running bak...must i go on....Daunte Culpepper is the way 2 win

A few reasons. Jon Gruden left for the Buccaneers. Al Davis is one of the worst GM's in the game right now (certainly not worse than Matt Millen but damn he's pushing him). They continue to hire HORRIBLE coaches and then fire them 1 year later so there is no consistency, hell even bad consistency right now would be better than none. They play in the toughest conference and the toughest division in football (Broncos, Chiefs, and the Chargers). Last - they havent had a QB worth a damn since Rich Gannon. Also they overpay for Warren Sapp, Aaron Brooks, and Randy Moss.

now and returned a "intestine feeling" can develop right into a "I advised you so" via week's end. A "intestine feeling", even nevertheless, that Oakland will beat San Diego in Week 4, is extra of a case of indigestion. that's the 2nd consecutive week San Diego's offense has lit up the contest's protection. do no longer bypass via information, bypass via production. i've got been advised Oakland's have been given an extremely stable secondary. that's sturdy, yet what occurred Week a million? what's worse, there replaced into no Brandon Marshall in that interest.. Even ought to LaDainian Tomlinson no longer play, I doubt Philip Rivers could have a lot hardship, if any, passing on Oakland's very mediore protection. Oh, and JaMarcus Russell throwing the soccer to receivers being coated via Antonio Cromartie and Quentin Jammer - i do in comparison to those odds for Oakland.

My husband's been a Raiders fan for 35 years and feels as long as Al Davis is there, they aren't going to change. Good thing I'm a Super Bowl winner Colts fan..makes for fun football Sundays.

If I played for the Raiders even if I was a First-Round pick and was projected to have a great MVP successful year and years on and The Raiders drafted me, I would retire right after the Draft selection

Al Davis may quite possibly be going senile/getting Alzheimers...no offense to anyone who deals with it out there or has family members dealing with it...
Heck, the glory days of Rich Gannon were only 5 years ago...and now they are rock bottom...

they don't have the players they used to when they were in the playoffs a couple years ago. everyone was talkin about how old they were a couple years ago and now its showing because the team is either really young in positions, or really old. And Aaron Brooks certainly is no Rich Gannon.
