and i've done it already but just one question... whats the difference if i dont scrap off paint for the grounding ??

also do i have to add ground cables to each ground strap (2) to the engine block (alternator bolts) (2)

it looks like a good upgrade. the reason to remove the paint, is so you get good contact between the body and the wires. paint will act as an insulator, cutting down the conductivity between the two. all the extra wiring might be over kill in some cases, but having too much rather than not enough is better. just remember, more than you need can't hurt, but less than you need causes big problems.....hot wires, burning wires, fire. equipment failure.

The reason you scrape the paint off is to be sure you get a good ground. With more contact area, you can flow more current and the connection will have lower ohms so there will be less heat at the joint. It can also help prevent future problems with the grounding.

Paint is an electrical insulator. For something that is conducting such low voltage levels, ANY interference will have pretty significant consequences, and you will experience them as either "noise" or intermittent operation.
