Music is skipping and video is freezing

Sounds like your cpu is going to 100% busy, or you are low on RAM.

100% busy is common with viruses and spyware. Make sure you have up to date protection. There is free software galore so no reason not to be current.

To see RAM usage, open task manager and see if your memory usage is more than the physical memory. If so, you are using the hard drive which is much slower. Use the scanner at Crucial.com to determine your memory upgrade options.

Lastly, Microsoft indexer can go haywire. MS themselves reccomends you turn it off. Right click on your c: drive, and uncheck the Indexing.

One of these is probably your problem.

Shut down any programs that you don't need so that the memory's not being overworked.

Could also try testing for adware / spyware in case thats whats slowing down your PC.

What OS are you using Windows XP???

What program are you using to play music\videos???

its feels like a hardware subject i think of, attempt fixing it with updates, or bypass into your laptop and attach themes with it, perhaps its the flashplayer, it night no longer be as much as date which motives it to be like that! reason all those issues ought to apply the flashplayer as a fashion to apply them!
