They got a woman and a black guy running for president, Bush isnt really that popular amongst americans right now, but that doesnt mean the republicans cant get back in office in 08, as a matter of fact theyre party seems to have more structure than the democrats and more unity. The democrats need to get serious, now?

the approval of the congress is far lower than bush's approval ratings, but the media wont tell you that. you gotta find that info out on your own. polls also show that rudy is ahead of hildog and obama.

The Republican candidates are a joke. They have less structure than they've got a real chance at actually winning the '08 election.

The problem with Republicans is that they have the Iraq war dogging them every step of the way. By refusing to concede any alternative to end the war, they are just pushing voters away in the process.

If the war ended by next year, before the elections, then they would regain some traction and be taken seriously.

But until they ditch their pig-headed "stay the course" strategy, they're going to be hurting every step of the way--and losing ground in the long term.

Not just in 2008, but in every election thereafter.

The Republicans has better party structure but the Democrats had more popular candidates. See my poll for the would be presidents in my 360 degrees and then vote to know who will win in the 2008 elections.

I don't think it is an over-confidence thing. I hope that a REAL centrist is on the ticket from one of the two major parties, otherwise we will be stuck with the same poor choices that we have had. Two candidates from opposite ends of the spectrum, one that the far right has nominated and one that the far left has nominated. Neither is very palatable to the majority of Americans.

I believe most of us are middle of the road. We may lean left or right based on the issue, but for the most part only extremist talk or at least get all the press. Our system to pick a leader doesn't mean the best man will win. We need education to teach how to think. My father (not really) can spend his life time on me, teaching me his bad habits but if I am taught how to think -- the road of his negativity does end.

You don't get to be President by being meek and humble.

Matt, Congress' approval rating is always low because the people expect more out of them and to act faster.

You feel it too, right?
You feel threatened by the woman and the African-American too huh?
Your question reeks of fear and a lack of self confidence.

That says a lot about Obama and Hillary.
