This might suprise you, but check out some footage of Shannon Brown, former MSU Spartan. The guy was a shooting guard, he's with the Cavaliers now. Maybe not for pure style points, but I've NEVER seen anyone jump higher. There is a footage (probably on YouTube) of this dude actually jumping and dunking over a guy. I mean over! As in, his shin is hitting the guys shoulder, and the guy is standing straight. Absolutely sick.

i don't believe of he's puffed up as a dunker. He had some dunks which will stand with a number of on the instant's and he became the originator of the paintings. Plus, extremely some his ABA taking area in days were no longer as filmed and replayed as at the same time as he joined the NBA so we do not see extremely some his perfect.

The dunk was outlawed in college after Alcindor's sophomore season (his first year on the varsity)... freshmen were not eligible to play NCAA varsity basketball when Alcindor was at UCLA.
James Bailey of Rutgers probably had more dunks than anyone in the modern college dunking era... the dunk was reinstated in college ball for his sophomore season, and he threw down 88 dunks as a sophomore, 116 as a junior and 79 as a senior.
Darrel Griffith was a contemporary of Bailey's, but Bailey completely dwarfed "Dr. Dunkenstein's" totals... (Griffith had about 35-40 dunks in a season).
The 6'9" Bailey was famous for converting alley oop passes originating from out near the mid court line.
