If you hook it up to the Line-In audio jack on your computer, you can just double-click on the Volume icon in your taskbar to bring up the full volume adjustment pane. There should be a slider for "Line-In", and all you have to do is make sure the Mute box isn't checked and set the volume where you'd like it in relation to the other sounds on your computer (if you want your guitar to be loud compared to the sounds that play when you do general computery stuff like opening the Start menu, make sure Line-In is set higher than Wave). Play around with the Line-In, Wave, and Volume Control sliders until you can get acceptable volume out of your guitar without blowing peoples' ears off whenever your computer plays a WAV file (also keep in mind that the Wave setting is what controls the volume for most games and all DVDs that you might be playing on it).
