i was a defensive lineman and fullback for my highschool. i was 195 pounds of fat, now i am 175 with lean muscle, i noticed that my 40 yard dash and my agility and acceleration imporved greatly, now i run a 4.3 which i used to run a 4.7, i am thinking of becoming a wide reciever, i plan on just outrunning defenders with my explosive speed, i am okay at catching and ok at running routes and planning on going to wide reciever camp to better those skills, do you think a shift to reciever is good idea?? i have no experience playing reciever, what other positions do you reccomend?

nice man losing weight always helps.. 4.3 is hella good for a DL, i think u should play tight end since ur fast, u can already block, and u wanted to becomee a wide receiver.. tight end coudl be both blocking and catching depending on how ur school uses the tight end...
receiver might be good since 4.3 is really good, if u like more of both bloocking and catching do tight end,u mihg need to be tall for TE..

Strong safety, cause ur really fast and u can tackle cause of ur DL exp.

Your story sounds like a load of BS.

- you were a 195 lbs of fat and losing 20 lbs turned it into lean muscle? I doubt it.

- you went from a 4.7 to a 4.3 time in the 40? How were you timed? Running downhill with a 60 mph wind at your back and wearing roller skates? Losing 20 lbs isn't going to increase your 40 time by almost a half a second.

I think that if you now weigh 175, don't be a fool and continue to play those positions that you used to. It doesn't make sense. You are smaller and you are playing positions that you need to get bigger for your high school career. Wide receiver and cornerback sound perfect for you though. As long as your agility is as good as you say it is, you will do fine. Just watch the ball come in and catch with your hands, don't bring it into your body, and you will do fine

You dont run a 4.3 I am sorry to tell you that but thier is almost no way. Your coach didnt use his stopwatch right. Secondly if you were running a 4.7 in high school you would be a HB or WR. you sir are lying and thats all that needs to be said.

yeah well i weigh 215 and have a 4.4 time.... so it's all about leg strength.. not weight

and i'd say go for a safety spot and stay FB, not receiver, hitting people is so much more fun than catching. Trust me.. i know

I was tight end and switched to fullback, i have a bloody good time running over people more.

Hit... not speed away.

if you are only ok at catching and route running, be a HB, you'll be able to help your FB because you used to play it, and you have a bit of running experience

Tell your coach to fix his stopwatch.
