To call it an arguement, two or more people have to be talking.Just tell them you are gonna agree to disagree. If they dont shut-up,leave.They cant make it a contest if no one else is there!! lol

I know how frustrating that can be... this is what I do.
"That's an interesting point."
"Hmmm, I never thought of that."
"Wow, you are really passionate about this!"
"Gosh, you have done a lot of research into this."
What I don't do is give 'MY' opinion or 'MY' side of whatever the argument is. I just listen and then give a positive comment and move on.
If the person wants to continue talking about the ~whatever~ I listen again, make another positive comment and DELIBERATELY move on by saying something like "And now that we know exactly how you feel about that, we can talk about something else!" Keep it light - but don't give in to the temptation to join the argument. We are talking serious self discipline here!
Good luck!

It depends on who it is...we all want to win sometimes...I told my husband the next five times we argue, he lets me win whether I am right or not...both of us like to have the last word(but lets face it, I am the one that is always right)...but I have acquaintances that they could say the most ridiculous things to you and will always have to have an answer to your response...whether it sounds stupid or not...I suppose if I felt very passionately about the subject I would not care and argue to the death...but it really depends on who it is that you are arguing with...Sometimes it is just not worth it...

Depends on the subject. If I know that I'm right about something without a doubt then I'm not going to stand their and try to argue my point.

I don`t say anything it takes 2 people to argue, unless your my brother in-law he would argue with a fence post. What I do is wait and research what ever the subject was and then I go to him with facts not my opinion.

the next time they argue with you get them to the point of making their point the only one and when they to going good be quiet and start laughing do this a few times and when they come up to you to argue start laughing and record them(don't let them know)then when they have some of their favorite people over get right in the middle of them and play the tape and start critizing them in front of others this should break them

I love that and I could go all night. If the subject is interesting it becomes a debate. It is my goal to change their mind into agreeing with me. Have fun with it. Especially if you feel passionately about whatever it is you are arguing about. I love a good debate.

Just ignore them. Some people like to argue just to argue. Leave them alone because they will never shut up.

U just have to be the bigger man and say nothing . And let them know that u do not want to fight. And that should show them that u do not want to argue;)

Ignore them. They obviously want you to argue, so don't give in.
