Crossing the Line is a term used in film production. The camera uses an imaginary 180 degree line between actors or action. This enables the viewer to actualize the scene as it properly plays in one and the same direction. However, if the camera crosses (the 180 degree) line, the actors or action will be either running away from each other, or crashing in to each other. So, always shoot from one side of the line or the other. Crossing the line would terribly confuse the audience. You can also "stradle" the line with a neutral or Z-Axis shot. To answer your question more precisely, no I have never "crossed the line". It's one of the things you first learn in film school listed under: "How to Avoid Boxoffice Failure".

Crossing the line is like thinking outside the box. Sometimes you are a genius for doing it, and other times you are rocking the boat. The details make the history, and as the saying goes, the victor writes history. I like to think of crossing the line as an artform.

In other words, "Yes."

" I used to cross the line all the time. That got boring so I moved on to snorting lines. That nearly got me flat lined so now I tend to stay way from lines all together".

Yes. The most recent time was when i did, and put my foot in my mouth by saying something 2 someone who i care for. She denied(at first) that i hurt her feelings. But i knew that i did. All i could do was apologize and make sure that i thought b4 i spoke from there on out
