What they say is that it will prevent an STD that can cause cancer and render the girl infertile. Sex will enable her to have children.

This is a very good question but you should be a little bit more precise.
1. what 's the name of this shot ???
I don't know, but the way this world is going I wouldn't count anything out!!!
they say that there's not a lot of food to feed everyone there are other countries that has a limit on how many children a family can half such as china it's 2
that wouldn't work in America but we're suppose to be able to do everything
we want here. So being presueded to take a shot to not have children seem very possible.- it's all in the name of population control!!!

there is a sexually transmitted virus called hpv that can cause cervical cancer. the shot is to keep a girl from catching hpv when they become sexually active inorder to decrease your odds of getting cervical cancer. it has nothing to do with having children or birth control. i do not know why everyone thinks it gives your children permission to be promiscuous. lets say you remain a virgin until you marry but you husband had sex one time and is a carrier of hpv. you will eventually get hpv and could develope genital warts or possibly increase your risk of cervical cancer. personally if i was a teen i would take it when they are sure that it is a safe vaccine.

Teen girls being enabled to have children? Who'd a thunk it?
Seriously, it helps prevent cancer of the cervix in adulthood--a good thing>

most women are born with the ability to have children already. i assume that you mean that the shot will somehow make them sterile? i haven't heard that yet, but you never know. any time of put foreign substances in your body you run the risk for many things going wrong. i am personally not going to let the government tell me what i have to put into my, or my children's, body.

Actually, the shot, Gardasil, is a vaccine to protect against HPV, which is the leading cause of cervical cancer. And yes, it can lead to infertility.
