Acer pantium 4. how many watts PSU it should have? 300W, 400 W, 500W ?

Depending on what hardware you have installed, but the standard size is about 400 to 450 watts nowadays. 500 for gaming machines...

it really depends on what hardware you have in your system. but the big factors that dictate how big a power supply you want are your video cards because those will draw the most pwoer and then how many hard drives you will be running and then your processor speed.
if you have a beast for a gaming rig with two very high end video cards and multiple hard drives 600-700watts
otherwise a 550watt power supply im most certain will work for anything else. anything lower prob wont be worth getting since you can find a 550watt for just about the same price as anything lower. trustable brands are antec and ocz and ultra(i have owned psu's from these companys so i lable them trustable), good brands are thermaltake and enermax

400-450W for stable power. Go name brand, they are stable, efficient, and not that expensive.
good brands:antec, ocz, ultra, enermax, thermaltake,silversone so on.
