When being "politically correct" became more important than the truth. Even if the truth is going to hurt , that still doesn't obligate you to lie. That stifles progress. Did your teachers give you A's if you work was C or D level? No. That would have given you a false reading of your achievements. Honesty prevents mistakes. It forces you to look at things from a different perspective. Sometimes people can't see the forrest for the trees, and your words may enlighten them, give them new direction, or guidance they needed. If they are offended because you have a different point of view, they certainly have the right to express their feelings. At least you aren't feeding them BS.

It's been around for awhile, was kicked up a notch in the 90's and really took off after 9/11. It seems you cannot say anything to anyone (whether it's true or not is irrelevant) without hurting someone's little baby feelings and being called out about it. The way I see it, if I am being a *****, call me a *****. Don't say that I am "insensitive to people around me" or some other such BS.

I don't worry about having my feelings hurt but I do try not to hurt anyone's feelings. If someone ask a question then I feel that they want a honest answer so I try to answer as honest as I can. If I hurt their feelings by answering their questions honestly then that's just the way it goes. if you don't want to know the truth then don't ask.

Well there is a difference between an opinion, and an insult.
To express your opinions is fine, as long as it doesn't insult anyone.

melancholy sounds as what he has. You stated that replaced into depressed formerly - properly it sounds he as somewhat. If he has stopped being his basic self - guffawing joking, speaking and if he keeping apart himself then confident he would desire to bypass and talk to this GP.
