The person was paranormal for over 35 years so he/she got an expertize in the condition, but no one could explain it scientifically (the nature of the expertize). It figures.

I have been studying Religions and Magick along with other disciplines for over 50 years, but I have never made a claim of expert on any of these subjects. I would never claim expertize of the paranormal because that would be an oxymoron. Paranormal is supposedly something outside explanation.

if they have studied the paranormal for 35 years, i'd say they are an expert. just getting a degree doesnt make you an expert, but hands on for 35 years does.

I've been studying for over 40 years, but by no means an expert. That would be a "former drip under pressure". I do know a bit about paranormal research and my family has been doing it for generations.
