I honestly didn't know you should tip a hairdresser / barber. But I haven't been to one in years, since I cut my own hair.

My barber charges $11 before takes. I give him a twenty and only ask for five back. What ever the money adds up to is what he gets back. Last winter, I got stuck in the parking lot, he pushed me out. I didn't even ask for the five back that time. He does great work and I tip him for it. He's also a good guy and a great dad. He just had a baby and I leave a nice tip for his little one.
