Maybe that's the meaning when others say it. When I say it I just mean I want to lead you in to a life of peace, understanding and oneness with the cosmos. I want to show you a better way with out hatred, I want teach you that life will be complete when you follow me. I want you to give yourself and everything you own for my betterment I want..........
Hmmm, OK, maybe that IS what it means.

None of the roles I ever accepted as leader ever involved controlling people. I've been a youth leader, an environmental leader, a community leader, a women's group leader, an international project development leader, and a corporate ethics committee leader. Each role involved good 2-way interaction, listening, guiding, cross-cultural, and compromising skills.

No. I have been a leader most of my life. It just comes natural to me. But I don't say I want to be a leader. Most leaders just make their way to the top without trying.

Potential leaders want to be challenged more, and gain more respect. Some want to be in control because they are being controlled at home and want to take out their frustration on their co-workers, like my last supervisor did.

No. When I say it I mean I want to lead people to success and be responsible for failure. It's all about teaching, mentoring, supervising and improving people and yourself. I love the responsibility of leadership. I love command.
