Mild headache:
acetaminophen (paracetamol), ibuprofen

Bad Headache:
acetaminphen with codeine

Migraine type:
Acetaminophen with
large amount of codeine and an
antihistamine for mild sedation

In Australia we are able to buy pain killers over the counter with codeine in them. We call acetaminophen paracetamol in Australia.
When I went to the USA the Pharmacist thought I was insane when I asked him where the codeine tablets were on the shelf!

Twice a day, every day I take Propranolol to try to control getting them. If I get one I take Maxalt, one and if that doesn't do it 2 hours later another. When I run out of those I don't really care what I take nothing really works. Been taking 500 mg Tylenol but going to switch to Ibuprofen. Gentler on my liver.
